Hey dorks. New web comic in a week or so when I am done moving and finish figuring out some character and story stuff. I’m really trying to exit my comfort zone and grow with this one.
Here is some prelim and process work I did to figure out Mul, the protagonist in this odd story about hibernation.
Break’s almost over. Resuming work on this kid when I finish moving (again)! Maybe there’s still hope of you seeing it completed in book form within your lifetime.

Study of Akihiko Yoshida, since a lot of his work is (vaguely) reminiscent of what I’m trying to go for.
There’s also the fact that I don’t actually know what people look like.
I think I want to change my style drasticly for this one project, but I don’t want to make carbon copies of something else.
It’s orange because I scanned it in color, but it was hardly visible, so I blocked some channels while leveling (and because it’s pretty).

Hey again, nerds. Been drawing all day. I scrapped a chunk of the beginning I drew up months ago (too cheesy), but hopefully the opening events I made today is better and not worse. Cathy seems to like it, I think?
Anyhow, I think I might take a break to draw some new stickers. I never did print that old batch from aaaaagessss ago… Me and Staples are about to become better acquainted.
